Puppy Germany Deutschland Pup Play

PPG e.V. Paw of Merit

PPG e.V. PAW Of Merit

Every year, PupPlay Germany e.V. wants to honor a special person from the community for their outstanding commitment to our community when choosing Puppy Germany. But what does the PPG e.V. Paw of Merit actually stand for? Many people work in the background and support us, our community and our groups. This important work is not always seen, let alone appreciated. With the PPG e.V. Paw of Merit we want to show these people how grateful we are to them and how their achievements are anything but self-evident.

In the spirit of the Puppy Germany title, which has always stood for equality, freedom and independence within the fetish scene, the PPG e.V. Paw of Merit is also intended to honor people from the Puppy Community and Friends for their special services to this very community and our groups. People who may not be in the public eye, but organize, plan and support in the background. People you can rely on in every respect regarding your Pup Play. People you want to thank for what they have done for you and your puppies.

From Awardee Puc

The weekend of the Puppy Germany Election in Hamburg this year is one that I will remember for the rest of my life, and for that I would like to thank all of you.

I have been in the community in Germany a number of years now, but I have been a pup much longer – since 2009, when I lived in Ireland. This was before the Irish community developed, and the play was in more of a BDSM context. Having so much experience was something I valued quite a lot, and I always enjoyed imparting knowledge to people I knew on a personal basis, but I wanted for a long time to do this on a larger scale. So early this year, I finally started using my Instagram for this purpose. I have been overwhelmed by the positive response, both from those within the German community, and internationally.

The award I received in Hamburg on the election weekend was a complete surprise – I didn’t even know that I had been nominated, and when Thaly announced my name on stage I had to come running because I had no clue what was going on! I was overwhelmed at the nomination, and when I was announced as the winner, I was completely shocked. I had nothing prepared and had to give a speech without any preparation.

I am still quite overwhelmed and receiving this type of attention has always been difficult for me, but do feel that the work I do within the community is quite unique and dare I say important. Pup play has exploded in popularity in the last years, it is easily accessible, and can be regarded as a “gateway kink” for people to discover other fetishes down the road. This is a great thing in many ways, but it can also be risky. New pups with no prior experience are trying out things that can be dangerous, and more education in these areas is needed. I think the main medium that I have chosen for my education posts is very easily accessible for new pups and the way I have formatted my posts is to maximise information while still being digestible in an Instagram format.

Recently, there have also been a number of additional projects that have been proposed to me, and I hope to shortly begin expanding on the work I have started doing for the community – some of which involve teaching and podcasts, as well as committee and organisational work. So, for this, I thank you for the opportunity to give back to the community which has brought me so much joy and good memories.

From Awardee Buumi

I am honoured to have been nominated, and grateful to have been chosen as the inaugural winner of the ‘Paw of Merit’.

I have visited Germany more than any other country as a titleholder. Always looking to understand the challenges within the community, while raising awareness about mental health.

Encouraging us all to look after our own mental wellbeing as well as for the mental wellbeing of one another, this was part of my title project ‘Lend A Paw’.

The warmth and friendliness of the German pups/pets encourages me to continue working hard in Germany, the Uk and across Europe to better understand how both current and former Puppy & Handler Titleholders can continue to help and support our communities.

Thank you again for this great honour, and I look forward to continuing to help and supporting you all.

Much love, licks and scritches
